jigsaw collective updates here!

they make music really interersting and unnerving. it's unexpected and vibrant and alive as all hell. they are tackling the themes and concerns 20-somethings are sheepishly facing. the album "funeral" has been on some form of rotation since Hood and Sanchez sent it to me in October. idk if they are the saviors of music or underground or any of that crap (does it even matter?), but they're just good and need to be heard.

here's some live performances and interviews. enjoy.

The Arcade Fire "No Cars Go"

ps: thank you my 909 bretheren for making spring break delightful.

from mtv.com:

"And proving that there's still a market for punk-prog-rock, the Mars Volta's Frances the Mute debuts at #4, selling more than 123,000 copies. To say that Frances' bow is a shock is a bit of an understatement: The band's first album, 2003's De-Loused in the Comatorium, opened at #39, selling just over 29,000 copies. Frances is also without a doubt the only album in the top 10 to feature a 32-minute closing track (beat that, 50...)"
